Chris Hall

Chris Hall is an accomplished legal professional currently serving as Senior Counsel at WM since September 2025. Prior experience includes serving as Vice President of Legal & Business Affairs and Vice President of Legal & Governance at Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. from October 2017 to August 2025, where Chris provided strategic legal guidance on complex transactions and commercial contract issues. Previous roles at Torstar Corporation and BASF involved drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and advising on privacy and corporate matters. Chris began a legal career at Biovail and held associate positions at Ogilvy Renault LLP and Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Law (JD) from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School, an MBA in Finance and Innovation from McMaster University, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil (Environmental) Engineering from Queen's University.
