Mia Jankowiak

Mia Jankowiak (Murray) serves as the Area Director of Communications & Public Affairs for Waste Management (WM), overseeing communications strategy in the Great Lakes region since May 2021. Prior to this role, Mia held various marketing and communication positions, including Director of Marketing & Events at the Grand Rapids Chamber, where responsibilities included managing marketing operations and event programming during the pandemic. Mia founded Mia Murray Photography, LLC, in 2014, providing professional photography services, and has held marketing roles with organizations such as Colliers and Coldwell Banker Realty. Mia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising Design and has completed graduate certifications in Organizational Communication for Leadership and Diversity & Inclusion from institutions including Michigan State University and Cornell University ILR School.
