Ziad Akl-Chedid

Ziad Akl-Chedid has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. In 2000, they began their career as an Embedded Designer at Accesslan. In 2002, they moved to Advanced Fibre Communications as a Senior Embedded Design Engineer. In 2003, they joined BlueBeetle Consulting as an Embedded Solutions Consultant, where they interacted with established teams at client organizations and implemented solutions that met end-user expectations. In 2009, they became a Team Leader, Technical Lead, and Scrum Master at Memotec, where they designed and delivered next-generation flagship platforms. In 2013, they moved to Accedian Networks as a System Solutions Architect and Product Owner of Financial Networks Solutions and Demarcation Solutions. In 2017, they joined iBwave Solutions Inc. as a Product Manager of Platforms and Automation and Enterprise Solutions. Most recently, in 2021, they became the Vice President and Director of Products at Waste Robotics, where they are helping communities and organizations reduce their environmental impact by automating the sorting of different waste material.

Ziad Akl-Chedid obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal. In 2012, they obtained a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance. In 2013, they obtained a MEF Carrier Ethernet Certified Professional from Metro Ethernet Forum. In 2014, they obtained an Executive Development Course from McGill Executive Institute and a CE 2.0 from MEF (Metro Ethernet Forum). In 2017, they completed a Self-Driving Car Engineer program from Udacity. In 2018, they completed a Deep Learning Specialization and a Machine Learning program from Coursera.
