Dipanjan Basu

Dipanjan Basu has a strong background in product management and engineering with a focus on strategy and business growth. Dipanjan currently holds the position of Chief Product Officer at Watchfinder.

Prior to their current role, Dipanjan worked at Rakuten for several years. As the Head of Product and Engineering, EU, they were responsible for defining the product strategy and developing a mid to long term product roadmap to support Rakuten's growth in EMEA. Dipanjan successfully built and led a team of product managers, software engineers, and application support members with a user-focused and data-driven mindset. Additionally, as the Service Integration Manager, EU, Dipanjan worked with Rakuten EMEA Business leadership to define a strong ecosystem strategy and led multiple projects to integrate Rakuten's businesses in Europe with their proprietary tech assets.

Before joining Rakuten, Dipanjan worked at Play.com, where they held various roles including Offshore Management/Tech Lead and MI Analyst. As a tech lead, they managed multiple teams in India and Romania, ensuring quality and on-time delivery. Dipanjan also played a key role in transforming the reporting solution to a more efficient data warehousing solution.

Dipanjan began their career at Mitsui & Co., Ltd as a Consultant/Architect, where they designed and developed a customized workflow application for multiple departments.

Dipanjan started their career at Infosys Technologies Ltd as a Software Developer/Onshore Lead, where they worked on web-based applications on Microsoft Technologies for a leading manufacturing firm.

Dipanjan Basu completed their education at Jadavpur University from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in the field of Chemical. Prior to that, from 1985 to 2000, they attended South Point High School, focusing on the study of Science. No specific degree was mentioned for their high school education.
