Robert Wright

Director Of Project Management at Watchfire

Robert Wright has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Robert began their career at ThyssenKrupp as a Manufacturing Engineer, where they focused on Six Sigma projects and process/product quality initiatives. Robert was later promoted to Quality Manager and played a key role in achieving TS-16949 certification. After working at ThyssenKrupp for four years, Robert joined Towne Machine Tool as a Project Manager. Here, they were responsible for overseeing projects from concept to completion, including customer needs, design, cost estimation, manufacturing, and installation/delivery. During this time, the company retained design rights for over 90% of the manufactured products. In 2012, Robert joined Watchfire Signs as a Senior Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, managing a team of engineers, technicians, and interns. Robert focused on process optimization, equipment purchases, and machine reliability, working collaboratively with other departments to achieve company goals. Robert then transitioned to roles as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager and Manager of Strategic Projects at Watchfire Signs, where they took on more leadership responsibilities in project management, planning, and training. Most recently, they served as the Director of Project Management, leading a team in handling customer interactions, expanding the install base, and overseeing new product introduction and engineering change processes.

Robert Wright obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Industrial Technology from Illinois State University, which they completed from 1999 to 2000. Prior to that, they attended Danville Area Community College/Danville Junior College, where they obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Robert has acquired several certifications including a California C-45 License - Qualified Agent from the Contractors State License Board in 2020, a Six Sigma Black Belt from ASQ - World Headquarters in 2017, a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in 2016, a Georgia General Contractor License - Qualified Agent from the Georgia Secretary of State in 2020, and a Nevada C-6b License - Qualified Agent from the Nevada State Contractors Board in 2020.
