Barbara Simon

Barbara Simon is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in information governance and IT management, currently serving as Manager of Corporate Information Governance at Water Corporation since 2013. In this role, Barbara leads initiatives to enhance data governance, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and driving shared data use for business value. Previously, from 2007 to 2012, Barbara coordinated IT business portfolios, focusing on planning, budgeting, and risk management. Earlier experience includes roles at SAP, GECITS, CSC as SAP Consultant and Application Operations Delivery Manager, and a progression of positions at Caltex Oil SA, culminating in project management and SAP consultancy. Barbara holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Economics from the University of Cape Town.
