Elie Byukusenge

District Facilitator / Usaid Isoko Y Ubuzima WASH Project at Water For People

Elie Byukusenge is currently serving as a District Facilitator for the USAID Isoko y'Ubuzima WASH Project at Water For People since November 2021, where responsibilities include overseeing the implementation and monitoring of field activities and collaborating with various partners and communities. Previously, Elie held positions as an Assistant Project Engineer for the JICA Rwanda RWASOM Project, contributing to the maintenance of rural water supply systems, and as a Freelance Engineer for the Gicumbi WASH Program, focusing on clean water coverage. Elie's earlier experience includes work as a WASH Engineer with World Vision on a water, sanitation, and hygiene project in an emergency context. Elie holds a Master's degree in Water Resources and Environmental Management from the University of Twente and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Rwanda.
