Nachi Nachiappan

Nachi Nachiappan possesses extensive experience in water systems management and environmental water delivery, currently serving as the Manager of Environmental and Cultural Water at WaterNSW since August 2015, where strategic development and stakeholder management are key responsibilities. Previous roles at WaterNSW include Water Systems Operations Supervisor South and Water Systems Operations Manager North, emphasizing resource assessment and operational efficiency. Nachiappan has a strong background in project management, having led significant water delivery system improvements and managed operational teams during restructuring. Earlier career experiences at State Water Corporation and the National Institute of Hydrology contributed to expertise in resource planning and hydrological research. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Surface Water and Groundwater Interaction from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, and a Diploma of Project Management from the University of Sydney.
