Water Quality Association
Michael Spiering is an experienced Toxicology Manager and Toxicologist at the Water Quality Association, where responsibilities include identifying chemicals of concern in drinking water and facilitating human health risk assessments. Previously, Michael served as a Toxicology Associate, where toxicological evaluations for drinking water additives were prepared, and participated in peer review processes. As an Associate Project Leader, coordination of certification projects and co-authoring standard operating procedures were key tasks. Prior experience includes working as a Biological Technician at EA Engineering, where environmental assessments were conducted, and as an Ecological Restoration and Biodiversity Intern at Loyola University, focusing on ecological restoration plans. Michael holds a Master of Science degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Ecology and Environmental Science from Loyola University Chicago.
