Mike Dirks

Mike Dirks currently serves as the Regional Liaison and Senior Account Manager at The Water Research Foundation, where responsibilities include strategic support and customer engagement for water and wastewater organizations. With previous experience as a Senior Staff Scientist at Cardno ENTRIX, Mike led environmental assessments and contributed to studies related to the BP oil spill. As a Global Environmental Health Graduate Assistant at Emory University, Mike focused on risk communication and budget development for global health projects. Mike’s background includes volunteer work with the United States Peace Corps in marine conservation and sustainable development, as well as early career experience with the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission in environmental monitoring. Academic qualifications include a Master of Public Health in Global Environmental Health from Emory University and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science from Eckerd College.
