Chandiwira Chisi

Chandiwira Chisi has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Chandiwira currently serves as the Head of Policy and Advocacy at WaterAid, a position they have held since September 2021. Prior to this, from July 2018 to August 2021, they worked at the Tilitonse Foundation as the Governance, Research and Capacity Development Manager/Deputy CEO.

Between 2013 and 2015, Chandiwira Chisi was self-employed, working as a Development Consultant. Chandiwira'sresponsibilities included providing consultancy services related to development projects.

From March 2010 to April 2013, Chandiwira Chisi held the role of Advocacy and Campaigns Coordinator at Action Aid International (Malawi Affiliate). Chandiwira was responsible for leading the identification and development of advocacy and campaign strategies. Additionally, they provided technical support to staff and partners on policy research, analysis, and advocacy, and played a significant role in the organization's country-level direction.

Chandiwira Chisi's work experience also includes a role as a Programme Manager at the Malawi Economic Justice Network from February 2009 to February 2010. Chandiwira managed various programs related to economic justice during this time.

Prior to that, they held positions at ActionAid, including Governance and Campaigns Thematic Coordinator at the Malawi Country Programme Office from July 2007 to December 2008. Chandiwira also served as a Programme Manager for the Nkhulambe Rural Development Area from June 2005 to July 2007, managing a rural program with a substantial budget.

Chandiwira Chisi began their professional career as a Programme Officer at the Church and Society Governance Programme from January 2000 to January 2005, where they worked on various programs related to governance.

Throughout their career, Chandiwira Chisi has gained extensive experience in policy and advocacy, governance, research, capacity development, and program management.

Chandiwira Chisi completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Demographic Studies and Computer Science from Chancellor College, University of Malawi. Chandiwira attended the college from 1995 to 1999.
