Clement Ndiwo-Banda

Clement Ndiwo-Banda has a strong background in the non-profit sector, with extensive experience in program management, fundraising, and policy advocacy. Clement currently holds the position of Head of Funding at WaterAid, where they are responsible for developing and implementing the organization's fundraising strategy. Prior to this, Clement worked as a Senior Project Manager at Save the Children International.

From 2019 to 2022, Clement served as the Head of Programs and Policy at Action Aid Malawi, where they provided strategic leadership in program design, implementation, and accountability. Clement also conducted a Country Strategy Paper Review and designed an organization structure aligned with the strategy implementation framework.

Clement's experience at CARE Malawi includes roles such as Assistant Program Director and Project Manager. In these positions, they provided oversight on program design and implementation, policy advocacy, and ensured organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Clement managed a program portfolio for the UK Government Department for International Development (DFID), delivering family planning services and improving nutrition outcomes for over 200,000 individuals.

Earlier in their career, Clement worked as the Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Manager at Heifer International in Malawi, where they designed and managed a Country Program Planning Monitoring and Evaluation System. Clement also successfully implemented the Enhancing Community Resilience Program as a Project Manager at CARE Malawi.

Clement has made significant contributions to various organizations in the non-profit sector, with a focus on community development and improving the lives of vulnerable populations.

Clement Ndiwo-Banda earned a Bachelor's Degree in Agribusiness/Agricultural Business Operations from the University of Malawi-Bunda College. Clement attended from 2003 to 2007. Later, in 2014, Clement pursued a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management at the East and Southern Africa Management Institute-ESAMI. Clement completed this program in 2016 and obtained the Master of Business Administration certification from ESAMI in November 2016.
