David Thomson has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. David has worked as a Mass Engagement Administrator at WaterAid since July 2017. Before that, they served as a Project Administrator at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine from March 2017. David also worked as a Communications Intern at the London International Development Centre (LIDC) starting from February 2017. In 2009, they started their own catering and events organizing business, where they catered events for large parties and curated special dinners. From January to September 2014, they worked as a Research Assistant for the School Food Plan at the Greater London Authority, gaining experience in policy research and event organization. Additionally, they have held positions as an Assistant at Sustain: the alliance for better food and farming from September to November 2013, and as a Cook at Rose Bakery for DOVER STREET MARKET (INTERNATIONAL) LIMITED from September 2010 to November 2012. David also managed THE GOODS SHED LARDER from June 2009 to August 2010, where they specialized in historical cooking and worked on food waste recovery and foraging.

David Thomson completed their Bachelor's degree in Philosophy (BA) with a field of study in Analytical Philosophy at The University of Manchester from 2006 to 2009. David then pursued a Master's Degree in Anthropology of food at SOAS University of London from 2014 to 2016.
