Durão Januário has over 15 years of work experience. Durão started their career as a Civil Engineer at Maputo Municipal Council in 2004. From 2006 to 2012, they worked as a Renovation Manager at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health - ICAP. In 2013, they joined Water and Sanitation Administration - AIAS as a Project Manager, where they were responsible for the rehabilitation and expansion of water supply systems. In 2017, they returned to Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health - ICAP as a Renovations Manager. Currently, they are working at WaterAid as a Project Manager for the FCP Plus project.
Durão Januário attended the Harvard Kennedy School in 2017, where they pursued an Executive Education program in Leadership and Negotiation.
