Gillian Wilcox

Strategic Change Project Manager at WaterAid

Gillian Wilcox has extensive work experience in various organizations and roles. Gillian started their career at ICI as a Technical Support Engineer from 1996 to 1999. Gillian then worked at Huntsman as a SAP Implementation-Plant Maintenance Team Leader from 1999 to 2001, and later as a Storage and Distribution Asset Manager from 2001 to 2003. From 2003 to 2005, Gillian served as an Organisational Development Advisor at VSO. Gillian then joined Church Mission Society as a Relocation Manager from 2006 to 2007. Gillian worked as a Global Projects Manager at the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from 2007 to 2011. Gillian subsequently joined Medair as a Project Support Manager in Somaliland from 2011 to 2012, and later as a WASH Project Manager from 2012 to 2013. Gillian then worked at the African Prisons Project as an Operations Manager from 2013 to 2014. Currently, they are employed at WaterAid and has held multiple roles such as Capacity Development Manager- Strategic Funding from 2014 to 2017, Water Industry Partnerships Team Leader from 2017 to 2022, and currently works as a Strategic Change Project Manager since June 2022.

Gillian Wilcox attended the University of Birmingham from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a degree in M.Eng & Man. Gillian'sfield of study was focused on Mechanical Engineering, Manufacture and Management, with a specialization in German. After a gap in their education, they attended The Open University and obtained an MSc in Development Management, completing their studies in 2017. Prior to that, from 2012 to 2014, Gillian Wilcox pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Development Management from The Open University.
