Júlio Fernando has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Júlio started their career in 1988 at ICRC Mozambique, where they worked as a Field Officer for disaster management and relief programs. Júlio gained expertise in various areas such as need assessment, medical assistance, nutritional center management, and relief distribution. Júlio also served as the Quelimane Provincial Office Manager, overseeing all ICRC operations in the province.

In 1995, Júlio joined Actionaid Mozambique as an IT Manager. Júlio played a crucial role in developing and implementing IT policies and procedures, including security and backup policies. Júlio also supported other Actionaid offices in South Africa and Lesotho in setting up network infrastructure and configuring user access to email and applications.
