Kaya Herstad-Carney is an accomplished music professional with extensive experience in education, performance, and festival organization. Currently serving as Senior Program Manager and Course Leader BA Online at WaterBear – The College of Music, Kaya focuses on innovative music education tailored for modern musicians. As a co-founder of HCHQ Ltd, Kaya has been instrumental in organizing online conferences and festivals, including the Threshold Festival, which highlights grassroots music and visual arts. Kaya's background includes roles as Director of Education at Vocology in Practice and Artistic Director of Threshold Festivals C.I.C., alongside various teaching positions in prominent institutions. Kaya's educational credentials include a BA (Hons) in Performing Arts Music and a Master of Arts in Performing Arts (Education) from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.
