Shelby Griffin

Respite Coordinator at WATERBURY ARC INC

Shelby Griffin has worked as a Direct Care Staff at Waterbury ARC since May 2016. In this role, they provide direct care to individuals with intellectual disabilities by taking them to the bathroom and changing their dirty clothes, preparing their lunches and spoon feeding those who are unable to eat independently, and taking them on outings during the work day.

In June 2020, Shelby became the Respite Coordinator at WATERBURY ARC INC. In this role, they are responsible for coordinating respite care services for families of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Shelby works closely with families to assess their needs and develop individualized respite care plans. Shelby also trains and supervises respite care providers.

Shelby Griffin has a Bachelor of Science in Arts Administration from Wagner College. Shelby is certified in CPR and AED from the Red Cross EU Office, and they are also certified in First Aid from the Red Cross EU Office.
