Jennifer Sarja is an experienced education professional and writer with a diverse background in teaching and leadership. Currently serving as the Supervisor of Secondary English at Waterbury Public Schools since November 2021, Jennifer also teaches high school English at the Academy for Leadership, Social Justice & Public Policy. Jennifer’s extensive experience includes directing YouthInkwell, where writing classes are designed to address social issues, and serving as a lead teacher at Dr. Cortlandt V.R. Creed High School of Health Sciences and Sports Medicine. Jennifer has a solid foundation in writing and screenwriting, with a film adaptation of Robert Cormier's novel and a children's book to credit. Jennifer holds an MFA in Dramatic Writing and a Sixth Year degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from New York University and Southern Connecticut State University, respectively.
