Sarah Downey Sessa

Sarah Downey Sessa, LCSW, is an experienced clinician specializing in individual and family therapy for children, adolescents, and adults at BONA VITA WELLNESS AND PSYCHIATRIC CENTER since August 2019. With a strong background as a School Social Worker for Waterbury Public Schools since October 2012, Sarah works within an interdisciplinary team to address the social and emotional needs of students, providing assessment and counseling services as required by individual education plans. Prior roles include serving as a clinician at Hospital of Saint Raphael's Child Psychiatric Emergency Services from January 2006 to October 2012, where Sarah delivered therapeutic services during patient hospitalizations, and as a Social Worker for the State of Connecticut's Department of Children and Families from June 2004 to January 2006, focusing on casework and safety assessments for children.
