Valerie Vasquez

Valerie Vasquez is an experienced educator currently serving as a Kindergarten Teacher at Waterbury Public Schools since August 2022. Prior to this role, Valerie gained valuable teaching experience as a Student Teacher at New Haven Public Schools and as a Teacher Assistant at Bright Start Child Care & Preschool, Inc. Valerie's background includes serving as a Dietary Aide at Abbott Terrace Health Ctr and working as a Banquet Server at La Bella Vista. Additionally, Valerie contributed as an Americorps Volunteer with Jumpstart, assisting in a Pre-K classroom. Valerie holds two Bachelor's degrees in Early Childhood Education and Liberal Studies from Southern Connecticut State University, where studies were completed from August 2018 to May 2022. Currently, Valerie is pursuing a Master's degree in Bilingual and Multilingual Education at Southern Connecticut State University, expected to be completed in January 2024.
