Courtenay Burns

Courtenay Burns has a diverse work experience, starting with being the Senior Director of Philanthropy & Strategic Growth at Waterford.org since April 2023. Before that, they served as the Director of Government Relations for Waterford.org from October 2020 to April 2023. Prior to joining Waterford.org, Courtenay was a Legislative Assistant at the same organization from April 2017 to October 2020.

Courtenay also had previous roles as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Nevada, Reno from January 2012 to June 2017, and as an Athletics Attendant at the City of Reno from August 2011 to June 2014. Courtenay's earliest work experience was as a Residence Life Staff at Berea College from September 2007 to May 2011.

Courtenay Burns earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science and Government from Berea College, attending from 2007 to 2011. Courtenay then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in American Government and Politics (United States) at the University of Nevada, Reno, from 2011 to 2017.
