Allen Wood has extensive experience in early childhood education, currently serving as the Lead Teacher for the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) at Waterford School District since August 2018. Prior to this, Allen held the position of Lead Teacher at Heartfelt Impressions Learning Centers from May 2017 to August 2018, and served as Early Childhood Education Manager at Oakland Family Services from October 1997 to February 2017, where responsibilities included program direction and budgeting to meet licensing and accreditation standards. Allen began the career as a Lead Preschool Teacher, focusing on developmentally appropriate activities using the High Scope approach. Allen holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Baker College Auburn Hills and further education from the University of Michigan-Flint.
