Esmée Hoogenkamp serves as Senior Legal Counsel at Waterland Private Equity since September 2023, focusing on private equity fund structuring, secondary transactions, and ESG compliance. Previously, Esmée was Legal Counsel for Private Equity at FMO, where responsibilities included negotiating transactions and providing legal oversight for investments in emerging markets. Prior to that, experience at BarentsKrans involved corporate M&A with an emphasis on national and international mergers, while contributions to Bouwinvest included advising on legal matters related to rental properties and governance in real estate funds. Esmée's early career featured roles as a student assistant at the University of Amsterdam and a paralegal at Willems Advocaten. Esmée holds multiple law degrees from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor's degree from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, alongside registration as a lawyer with the Netherlands Bar.
