Sam Daems is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in private equity, business transformation, and strategic planning. Currently serving as a Portfolio Principal and Investment Director at Waterland Private Equity since January 2016, Sam also holds positions as a Fellow at Belgium's 40 under 40 and a Doctoral Researcher at the I3h Institute, focusing research on innovative financing models for therapeutics for children with cancer. Previous roles include Head of Business Transformation and Business Development, Secretary to the Executive Committee, and Group Strategic Planner at Tessenderlo Group, as well as Consultant at Bain & Company. Sam holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from KU Leuven.
