Andrew Schmitt

Andrew Schmitt has a diverse work experience in the education sector. Andrew started their career at the Toronto District School Board in 2005 as a Classroom Teacher and later served as an Associate Teacher at York University from 2007 to 2009. In 2009, they returned to the Toronto District School Board as a Teacher-Librarian and then became an Instructional Leader, Teaching & Learning with Technology from 2013 to 2016. From 2016 to 2018, Andrew worked as a K-12 Learning Coach at the Toronto District School Board and as an AQ Instructor at York University. Since 2018, they have been serving as a Vice Principal at the Waterloo Region District School Board.

Andrew Schmitt's education history includes a Bachelor of Education (BEd) in Primary Junior from the University of Ottawa, which they completed from 2003 to 2004. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Music in Vocal Performance at Western University from 2000 to 2002. Andrew began their academic journey with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Music from Wilfrid Laurier University between 1996 and 2000.
