Betti Adams

Betti Adams has a diverse background in education, with extensive experience working in various roles throughout their career. Betti is currently serving as the Academic Principal at Canada's National Ballet School since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Part-time Principal at the Waterloo Region District School Board starting from August 2017. In addition, they also held the role of Field Supervisor at the Wilfred Laurier Faculty of Education from June 2017 onwards.

Betti's long-term experience with the Waterloo Region District School Board began in 1987, where they initially worked as an Elementary School Teacher specializing in Special Education and Physical Education until June 2002. Betti then advanced to the position of Principal, providing leadership for elementary schools catering to students from JK-Gr.6, Middle School, and JK-Gr.8 until June 2017.

Furthermore, Betti has contributed to higher education as a Course Instructor at Nipissing University. In this role, they developed and taught Special Education courses at the post-graduate level for qualified teachers, both through in-class instruction and online delivery models. Betti served in this capacity from July 2005 to May 2015.

Betti Adams completed their Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Waterloo from 1982 to 1986. Betti then pursued a Bachelor of Education at the University of Western Ontario from 1986 to 1987. In 2001, they acquired their Ontario Principal Qualifications. Afterward, they attained a Master of Education with a specialization in Leadership from Charles Sturt University, completing the program from 2009 to 2011. Lastly, in 2015, Betti obtained Educational Supervisory Qualifications in Ontario Education through Senior Leadership Training.
