Ron Gagnon

Ron Gagnon serves as the President and CEO of Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN) since April 2025, overseeing the integration of St. Mary’s General Hospital and Grand River Hospital into a unified health-care organization. Gagnon is also a Board Member of Healthcare Collaborative Benefits, which aims to enhance employee health benefits for not-for-profit healthcare organizations across Canada. Previously, Gagnon held the position of President and CEO at Grand River Hospital from November 2018 to March 2025 and served as President and CEO of Sault Area Hospital from April 2001 to November 2018. Gagnon held various executive roles in finance and administration at Ontario Clean Water Agency and the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, contributing to crucial healthcare transformation initiatives. Gagnon holds a Chartered Professional Accountant designation and a Certified Management Accountant designation, complemented by an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Laurentian University.
