Facundo Fontana has been working in the tech industry since 2006. Facundo started as an IT Support Technician at Código Abierto S.A. in 2006 and then moved on to become a System Administrator at the Consumer Protection Office in 2008. Facundo then joined Grupo Vi-Da as a Software Developer in 2011, where they performed maintenance tasks, implemented new requirements and worked on the company's CMS and interactive system. In 2015, they started working as a Freelance Software Developer, using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Express.js, SocketIO and HTML, React. Finally, in 2022, they joined Waterplan (YC S21) as a Full Stack Developer. Facundo also worked in the Development area of the Office of the Defender General at the Judiciary of Buenos Aires City (Ministry of Public Defense) from 2012 to 2022, where they analyzed, developed, implemented, maintained and redesigned different types of systems, as well as implemented new solutions and their corresponding integrations with the rest of the applications developed by the area.
Facundo Fontana is currently enrolled in the Ekoparty Hackademy's Fundamentals of Hacking & Defense program, which began in 2021. Prior to this, they completed a postgraduate course on Deep Learning at the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires in 2020, as well as a workshop on Probability and Statistics in Python at the same institution. In 2016, they earned a Technical Degree in Programming from Universidad CAECE. Facundo has also obtained three intermediate certificates from HackerRank in JavaScript, Node.js, and Rest API, which were all obtained in October 2022.
