Emmy Hiemstra

Emmy Hiemstra has extensive experience in spatial planning and policy support within water management organizations in the Netherlands. Currently employed at Waterschap Drents Overijsselse Delta since January 2016, Emmy Hiemstra initially served as a Beleidsondersteunend medewerker, focusing on environmental analyses for spatial projects. This role followed a transition from a beleidsadviseur position due to a merger with Waterschap Groot Salland. Prior to this, Emmy Hiemstra worked at Waterschap Groot Salland from April 2009 to January 2019 as an Adviseur Ruimtelijke Ordening, contributing to the high water protection program and assessing spatial plans against water regulations. Education includes degrees from Radboud University and Saxion University of Applied Sciences, complemented by VWO completion at Greijdanus.
