John Koop

John Koop has extensive experience in water management and environmental consulting. Currently serving as a Zuiveringstechnoloog at Waterschap Hunze en Aa's since July 2015, John previously worked as a Senior Consultant at KWA Bedrijfsadviseurs from December 2007 to June 2015, where expertise focused on sustainable water management practices for industrial companies. Prior to that, John was a Water and Environmental Specialist at Dolfinarium Harderwijk, providing advisory services on water and biology for the management team from 1991 to 2007. John Koop completed a PhD in Marine Biology at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, focusing on energy consumption in fishes, and holds an M.Sc. in Marine Biology from the University of Groningen.
