Bernd de Nijs

Bernd de Nijs is an experienced professional with a diverse background in governance, business ownership, and advisory roles. Since March 2019, Bernd has served as a member of the Board of Waterschap Noorderzijlvest, while concurrently owning Move2it since June 2006. In addition, Bernd holds leadership positions such as Chairman of the client council at 't Blauwbörgje and Fraction Leader at Betaalbaar Water, both established in 2014 and 2019 respectively. Previous roles include membership in Lentis' central client council and serving as a spinning instructor at Sportrade. Bernd has also contributed significantly to Terre des Hommes Netherlands as Chairman and Ambassador from May 2010 to June 2017, as well as held senior advisory positions at OPTA and the Netherlands Competition Authority. Academic qualifications include a degree in Business Economics from the University of Groningen, obtained between 1985 and 1992.
