Michiel de Sterke

Michiel de Sterke, MA Psych, has extensive experience in both the fields of music and psychology. Currently serving as Algemeen Bestuurslid for Waterschap Noorderzijlvest since March 2019, Michiel became a member of the Waterschapspartij Betaalbaar Water faction in September 2021. Previously, leadership roles included serving as Chairman of the Client Council at Dignis and being a board member on the Central Client Council. A significant tenure with the North Netherlands Orchestra as First Concertmaster spanned from August 1989 to August 2017. Additional experience includes board member positions with 50PLUS and the Nederlandse Toonkunstenaars Bond, alongside a strong background in psychotherapy with a focus on psycho-analytical methods and NLP techniques. Michiel's educational qualifications comprise a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and various certifications in therapeutic practices, mediation, and music from prestigious institutions.
