Arian van Westreenen

Arian van Westreenen is a Data Engineer at Waterschap Vallei en Veluwe since April 2023, previously working as a Product Development Engineer at Ridder Group from March 2019 to April 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a physics teacher at Jacobus Fruytier Scholengemeenschap from February 2020 to December 2021 and as a PhD candidate at Wageningen UR, focusing on the interaction between cut-roses, powdery mildew, and micro-climate relative to energy use from September 2015 to February 2020. Arian's early career includes roles as an Employee Fruit Grower at T&G de Vree Fruit BV from April 2007 to August 2015, and internships and assistant positions at PRI - BU Biointeractions and Wageningen UR. Arian holds a Master of Science in Earth and Environment and a Bachelor of Science in Soil, Water and Atmosphere, both from Wageningen University & Research.
