Kristin Thayer is the Head of Partnerships at Watershed. Kristin has over fifteen years of experience in business development and strategic partnerships.

Kristin started their career as a co-founder and CEO of BarTab Inc., a start-up that was acquired by Facebook in 2008. At Facebook, they led the Olympics Partnerships team for the London 2012 Games. In 2013, they joined Andreessen Horowitz as a Partner in their Market Development group.

In 2015, they left to join Uber as their Head of Travel Partnerships. In this role, they were responsible for developing and executing partnerships with global airlines, hotels, and online travel agencies (OTAs), as well as overseeing product launches for new travel partnership products.

Most recently, they were the Senior Director of Trade and Private Client at 1stdibs.com from September 2017 to September 2021. In this role, they managed a team of sales professionals who worked with high-end furniture and fashion brands to help them grow their businesses on 1stdibs.

Kristin has a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

Kristin Thayer has a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University and a BS in Accounting, Entrepreneurship from the University of Arizona.
