Vinjai Vale has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Vinjai started as a Student Researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2017. In 2018, they worked as a Research Intern at Helm.ai. Vinjai then interned as an Applied Scientist at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2019, where they focused on deep generative models for speech enhancement.
In 2020, Vinjai co-founded the Stanford Existential Risks Initiative (SERI), serving as the Program Director. At SERI, they led strategic planning, coordinated research fellowships, and helped organize conferences. During the same year, they also worked as a Software Engineer at Skiff, a privacy-focused online collaboration platform, where they contributed to building key features.
In 2021, Vinjai worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Scale AI. Vinjai then joined CoinLion as a Quantitative Research Consultant, developing cryptocurrency datasets and backtesting frameworks. The following year, they interned as a Quantitative Researcher at Jump Trading LLC.
Currently, Vinjai is working as a Product Engineer at Watershed since 2022.
Vinjai Vale began their education in 2014 at Phillips Exeter Academy, where they completed their secondary education. From 2018 to 2022, they attended Stanford University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. Following that, they continued their education at Stanford University from 2021 to 2022 and obtained a Master of Science degree in Artificial Intelligence.
