Yubing Zhang has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 2010, Yubing worked as a Portfolio Manager at the Capital Markets Team of Bank of China (Hong Kong) until 2014. In 2013, Yubing co-founded Balcony Salon, an online and offline event platform, where they served as CEO and helped establish a network of 2000 members, featured over 50 speakers, and reached an audience of over 30,000. From 2015 to 2020, Yubing co-founded GSB Tribes at Stanford University Graduate School of Business, acting as a Co-Founder of "Personal Board of Advisors" for GSB Alumni. From 2016 to 2018, Yubing worked as a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company. In 2018, Yubing joined BetterUp, a B2B mental health and coaching platform, where they held various positions including Senior Product Manager, Principal Product Manager, Group Product Manager, and Director of Product. At BetterUp, Yubing led product teams, developed core coaching products, and incubated new products. Additionally, Yubing advised various companies as a Product Advisor, leveraging their product leadership experience at BetterUp. Currently, Yubing is associated with Watershed, an enterprise climate platform, where they work in a product role.
Yubing Zhang graduated with a Bachelor of Economics and Finance degree in 2009 from The University of Hong Kong. In 2010, they attended the University of Oxford where they obtained a Master of Financial Economics degree with a specialization in Financial Economics. Following this, from 2014 to 2016, Yubing Zhang pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
