Mr. Lobo has spent a major part of his career in the field of natural resource management and participatory watershed development. Today, in the development circles, he is a well-known expert in integrated water resources management.
He worked as the Program Coordinator of the Indo-German Watershed Development Programme (IGWDP) from 1989 till 2001. Besides co-founding WOTR in 1993, Mr. Lobo has co-founded three more non-profits. These are, Sampada Trust (ST), Sanjeevani Institute of Empowerment and Development (SIED), and Sampada Entrepreneurship and Livelihood Foundation (SELF).
Mr. Lobo is an alumnus of the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (GIPE), India, and Kennedy School of Government (KSG), Harvard University, USA.
