Emily West

Emily West is a dedicated professional with a diverse background in medicine, research, and advocacy. Currently serving as a Book Seller at Waterstones and as a Hi-Med Fellowship Participant at High Impact Medicine, Emily also contributes as a Research Assistant at the Helen Bamber Foundation. Involvement with various organizations includes roles as an Equality and Diversity Board Member at 50:50 Parliament, a Writer on Human Rights, Law and Governance for Right for Education, and a Mentor and Scholar at Medic Mentor. Emily advocates for mental health support through participation in the University Mental Health Charter Panel with Student Minds. Additionally, Emily holds positions as the Universities Officer and Communications Director for Conservative Young Women. Recent research roles include serving as a Research Assistant with the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics and as a Research Trainee at the Dunn School, University of Oxford. Emily earned a BM BCh in Medicine from the University of Oxford after attending Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College in Darlington.
