John Duvernell has extensive experience in fire and emergency services, currently serving at the Watertown Fire Department since June 2000 as a Firefighter-Paramedic, Fire Inspector, and Fire Investigator. Responsibilities include serving as a Paramedic, Fire & Emergency Services Instructor, and Acting Fire Officer, with certifications as a Paramedic Preceptor, MPO Certified, and Aerial Operator Certified. Prior to this role, John worked as a Firefighter/EMT at Greendale Fire Department and as a Paramedic at Bell Ambulance, where over 2,000 ambulance transports were completed, primarily at the Advanced Life Support level. Additional experience includes serving as an EMT and Basic First Aid & CPR Instructor at Jump Start Health Systems. John holds a Bachelor's degree in Fire Administration/Fire Investigation and an Associate's degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University, and an Associate's degree in Paramedic Technology from St. Louis Community College, along with a High School Diploma from Brown Deer Middle/High.
