Catherine Welch

Catherine Welch is an experienced law enforcement professional with a career spanning over three decades. Since May 2010, Catherine has served as a Police Officer at the Watertown Police Department, specializing as a night shift patrol officer and a Field Training Officer for new recruits. Prior to this role, Catherine held the position of Police Lieutenant at Groton Police Department from March 1995 to June 2009, where responsibilities included grant writing, scheduling, and managing personnel issues. Catherine's career in human services began as an Outreach Worker for Middlesex Human Services from April 1993 to May 1995, focusing on juvenile outreach. Catherine holds a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Western New England College and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Clark University.
