Renee Dominguez

Deputy Chief at Watertown Police Department

Renee Dominguez has extensive experience in law enforcement. Renee began their career as a Police Officer in the Town of Newtown in 2000 and later became a Police Sergeant in the City of New Haven in 2002. In 2017, they joined the New Haven Police department and held roles as Police Lieutenant and Assistant Chief of Police. In 2021, they served as the Acting Chief of Police for the New Haven Police Department. Currently, Renee is working as the Deputy Chief for the Watertown Police Department.

Renee Dominguez pursued their undergraduate education at the University of New Haven from 1997 to 2001, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Renee continued their educational journey at Southern Connecticut State University from 2002 to 2008, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. After a break, in 2018, Renee returned to the University of New Haven for their Master's degree, which they completed in 2020. Renee focused their studies in the field of Criminal Justice/Police Science during their postgraduate studies.
