James Banathy is an experienced football coach with a strong background in both academy and educational settings. Currently serving as the Foundation Phase Academy Coach at Watford Football Club since September 2022, Banathy also holds the position of Post 16 Football Coach at the Academy of Sporting Excellence. Prior roles include Pre-Academy Coach at Arsenal F.C. and FE Sport Lecturer at SCL Education Group. Banathy has demonstrated leadership as the Head Football Coach at the University of Nottingham and Loughborough University, guiding women’s teams during multiple seasons. Additional experience includes a marketing internship at ESPN and coaching roles with UK-Elite-Soccer and Arsenal F.C. Banathy earned a degree in Sport Management from Loughborough University from 2016 to 2020.
