Filippo Cangioli

Filippo Cangioli has a diverse work experience in both industry and academia. Filippo started their career at Politecnico di Milano in 2014, where they worked as a Ph.D Fellow, focusing on rotordynamics and diagnostics of rotating machines and mechanical systems. During this time, they conducted research on the dynamic characterization of seals in turbomachinery through experimental tests and numerical simulations. From June 2015 to June 2017, Filippo also served as an Assistant Professor at Politecnico di Milano.

In 2017, Filippo Cangioli transitioned to industry and joined Waukesha Bearings Corporation. Filippo initially worked as a Senior Project Engineer and was responsible for the engineering and design content of projects for key customers. Their role involved performing conceptual design of bearing and seal solutions, as well as engineering calculations. Filippo also played a significant role in promoting brush seals with customers.

Afterward, they attended Politecnico di Milano, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering from 2014 to 2017. In addition to their academic achievements, Filippo obtained an IELTS certification from the British Council in September 2014.
