Andrew Arsham is an experienced academic and consultant in the fields of biology and assay development. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Biology at Bemidji State University since July 2015, Andrew leads the Biology Baccalaureate Partnership at North Hennepin Community College and teaches courses on Genetics, Molecular Genetics, Science Communication, Biomedical Ethics, and research in Genomics and Gene Expression. In parallel, Andrew has been a consultant at Wave 80 Biosciences, Inc. since September 2008, where responsibilities include developing multiplexed assays for Type 1 Diabetes and leading the Assay Research department. Previous roles include Senior Director of New Products in Applied Cell Physiology, focusing on immune system technologies, and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Minnesota. Andrew's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor’s Degree in Comparative Literary Studies from Northwestern University. Additionally, experience as a Counselor/International Workshop Leader for Seeds of Peace involved leading workshops and outdoor training in various countries.
