Chris Francis

Chris Francis is the SVP of Corporate Development and Head of Emerging Areas at WAVE Life Sciences. Chris has been in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry for 15 years. Chris started their career as a Scientific Programmer at VPAC, before becoming an Analyst at IMS Consulting Group. Chris then transitioned to Two River, where they served as an Associate, conducting search and evaluation activities for therapeutic candidates. In 2009, Chris joined GSK as the Director of Scientific Operations. During their time at GSK, they led multiple programs that advanced into clinical development, including the initiation of innate immune-checkpoint combination programs. Chris has been with WAVE Life Sciences since 2014, where they have been instrumental in developing and implementing the company's research strategy.

Chris Francis has a PhD in Biophysics from the University of Melbourne. Chris is currently a Research Associate in Biophysics at the University of Cambridge. Prior to that, they received a BSc in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from the University of Melbourne.

Their manager is Paul Bolno, President & CEO. They are on a team with Michael Panzara - Chief Medical Officer, Linda Rockett - General Counsel, and Sridhar Vaddeboina - SVP, Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls.
