Cynthia F. Caracta M.D.

Cynthia F. Caracta MD, FCCP has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and medical sectors. Cynthia F. started as an Assistant Professor and Attending Physician at Mount Sinai Medical Center in 2000 and transitioned to roles at Forest Laboratories and Hurley Consulting Associates focusing on respiratory medicine and clinical operations. Cynthia then held leadership positions at Teva Pharmaceuticals and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, overseeing global clinical sciences and respiratory R&D. Most recently, they have served as the Head of Stroke and Neurovascular Therapeutic Development at Biogen, and currently holds the position of Executive Medical Director at Wave Life Sciences.

Cynthia F. Caracta MD, FCCP completed their MD at State University of New York Downstate Health Sciences University in 1993. Cynthia F. then pursued a Master of Sciences degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at New York Medical College from 1987 to 1989. Following this, they completed their Residency in Internal Medicine at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons from 1993 to 1996. Cynthia F. continued their education at Boston University School of Medicine, where they completed their Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship from 1996 to 2000.
