Shantanu Pande

Shantanu Pande, Ph.D., is a Scientist II in Drug Product Technical Services at Wave Life Sciences since July 2022, specializing in the development of oligonucleotide formulations for rare genetic diseases. Responsibilities include strategizing formulation development matrices, performing physicochemical characterization, and supporting technology transfer to manufacturing sites. Previously, Shantanu held roles as a Scientist in Formulation R&D at Abon Pharmaceuticals, focusing on oral liquid formulations and sterile injectables, and as a Formulation Scientist at KaloCyte, Inc., working on lipid-based nanoparticles. Shantanu earned a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Howard University, where experience included teaching assistantship and research on liposome drug delivery, along with a research trainee position focused on chemotherapeutic agents at the Haffkine Institute. Shantanu's academic background also includes a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Mumbai.
