Sarah Adler, PsyD has a diverse work experience spanning across various roles and industries. Sarah is currently the Founder and CEO of Wave, a company that focuses on unknown research areas. Prior to this, they served as a Clinical Associate Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine since 2013.

In 2012, Sarah founded and owned Peninsula Behavioral Health, a group practice that offers evidence-informed psychotherapy services. Sarah successfully built the business from scratch, handling clinical operations, developing service lines, and establishing payer partnerships. Sarah also created proprietary measurement technology for the organization and fostered a supportive culture for clinicians while ensuring high-quality clinical care in the Bay Area and beyond.

Sarah has also held advisory roles in multiple companies. Sarah was a Venture Partner at Conscience VC and an Advisor at mpathic, Redesign Health, Klue (sold to Medtronic), and Kurbo, Inc. (sold to Weight Watchers).

From 2019 to 2020, they acted as the Chief Clinical Officer at Octave, where they played a crucial role in its growth and transition from Series A to Series B funding. Sarah led the Clinical organization and eventually took charge of Product and Engineering, overseeing strategy and vision for clinical services, clinical operations, and product/technology.

Lastly, Sarah co-founded Cross-Sectional Consulting in 2013, where they worked until 2018.

Sarah Adler, PsyD pursued their education in psychology at Stanford University from 2005 to 2010, where they obtained a Psy.D degree. Additionally, they concurrently pursued a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at Palo Alto University during the same period. Prior to their doctoral studies, they attended Columbia University, where they earned a BA degree in English Literature and Psychology. Sarah completed their high school education at Germantown Friends School, obtaining a High School Diploma.
