Bassirou Cisse

Bassirou Cisse has extensive experience in compliance and internal control within the banking sector. Currently serving as Head of Compliance at Wave Mobile Money since April 2021, Cisse previously held the position of Regional Head of Compliance for Sub-Saharan Africa at Bank of Africa from February 2021 to April 2021, overseeing compliance across 17 subsidiaries in accordance with Bank Al-Maghrib guidelines. Cisse's earlier roles include Senior Compliance Officer at Bank of Africa from August 2016 to February 2021, and Country Head of Internal Control, as well as Auditor at UBA Sénégal from January 2009 to July 2016, focusing on building compliance environments and providing advisory support. Cisse's educational background includes a Master's degree in Marketing/Sales from Groupe SupDeco Dakar and a Bachelor's degree in Management from Sup'Management.
